MourariUP

MourariUP is a project that supports the business development of migrant people by building an entrepreneurial community in the Mouraria neighborhood.

After two years of supporting migrants in the creation and development of their businesses, we have taken our mission one step further and are co-creating the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Mouraria – the most culturally diverse neighbourhood in the country.

Our goal is to accompany migrant entrepreneurs, regardless of their countries of origin, in the development of their maximum personal and entrepreneurial potential in a collaborative, intercultural and permanent learning community.

MourariaUP members can participate in various ways:

Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to develop their personal and professional skills and their entrepreneurial spirit through a school formed by professionals specialized in integration, diversity and vocational guidance and mentors specialized in the industries of their businesses.

The mentors will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with migrants who are starting their business development in Portugal, through personalised sessions and participative workshops.

The facilitators share their knowledge with the entrepreneurs through one-off, participatory training sessions on entrepreneurship.

Volunteers will be able to support the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Mouraria in tasks that can range from supporting the promotion of activities, event logistics, communication and co-facilitation of workshops.
