Academia CV.pt - Boas Práticas

ACV.pt trains school groups to implement the ACV.pt methodology, contributing to the integration of immigrant and refugee children from kindergarten and 1st cycle with communication difficulties in Portuguese, producing impact on learning, school success and social inclusion.

Its methodology has been tested in several territories of Lisbon, responding to the challenges of integration of immigrant and refugee students, through:

Weekly individual tutoring classes for immigrant and refugee children to acquire Portuguese language skills and socio-educational development, fundamental for school success and social integration;

Parental involvement actions to enhance learning outside the school context and consolidate the student-school-family relationship;

Network of volunteer community tutors created and trained to promote individualized care and community involvement in school;

Interculturality actions to promote critical reflection on cultural diversity and global citizenship at school and participation in sociocultural activities that contribute to community integration.

It was distinguished with the Seal of Good Practices of Social Intervention, promoted by the Supra-council Platforms of Greater Lisbon and the West, of the Social Network of the Social Security Institute.
